Violin by David FinckThis is the latest instrument off my bench and it is available for audition. Inspired by the 1649 Amati “Alard” but modified for a larger presence, it is a particularly exciting violin — one of the most responsive and tonally rich instrument I have made.  It speaks easily, but offers a nice sensation of resistance at the same time. The G is ripe and full, and transitions seamlessly to the D and A strings. For a violinist seeking a bold instrument and burnished tone this is a worth a look and listen.
