With it’s storied tonalities and aesthetic beauty, the 1735 del Gesu Guarneri violin known as “the Plowden” has inspired generations of musicians and luthiers alike. Its basic measurements served as inspiration for this latest violin of mine. I make no pretense to copy the the model with exactitude though. Instead, I see it as a sound basis to begin with, and then allow my hand and eye to dream their own reality. Currently unavailable for audition. Inquire at a later date.
